If you want a fully-featured photo editor and don't need CS6, you can try Pixlr.
Great features, lots of overlays and effects and transparency, and no subscription required.
The only downside is that Pixlr only does simple editing (red eye, teeth whitening, etc.) and can't do advanced stuff like vectorize or save as a different file type.

Subversion shows directories as files
I have a Subversion repository in which I am making some changes. However, while making a few changes, I noticed the subversion was throwing an error saying that one of the directories is a file.
This is what I did to try and fix it:
In that directory, I did a SVN up --ignore-existing
I tried doing SVN up --ignore-externals
I also tried doing an SVN up --ignore-path.svn
I did SVN up --ignore-none-properties
I also tried changing the permissions of the entire directory to 775 and then 644 and then back to 644.
I am using svn with tortoisesvn.
When I do a check out, it gives me an error: "cannot open the requested SVN filesystem"
I checked the repository directory, and it appears that it was in fact a directory. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I just ran into this exact problem. You have a directory called
"doc/src" (not to be confused with a directory called "doc/src"
on your local machine) and it's a subversion repository.
Try: svn up --ignore-externals --non-inter 01e38acffe
